Your Skis and Snowboards cost you well earned money so to protect your investment, give your Skis and Snowboards some love by preparing them now and storage waxing them.
In order to keep your Skis and Boards in "Tip Top" condition, we recommned that when you return from your holiday, that you get the equipment serviced and "Storage Waxed". This will not only keep your bases topped up with wax and stop them from drying out and thereby prolonging wax retention, it will also partially protect your edges from rusting.
5 reasons why to service and storage wax your Skis and Snowboards
- Your bases will dry out if left unwaxed and eventually the fabric of your Ski and Board bases won't be able to hold as much wax like when new, as the micro pockets within the base material starts to degrade and close up.
- Your Base edges will also get protected and help prevent rusting.
- Most of the storage wax will be absorbed over the summer so your bases will be fully loaded for winter so your Skis and Boards will run faster and glide easier
- We can normally take off the storage wax while you wait provided you call ahead to tell us your coming and we arent crazy busy in the shop.
- Less car jouneys back and forth to drop off and pick up and thereby saving you time.
When you are ready to hit the slopes again, just give us a call to book in and we will remove the excess wax and finsish your skis and boards free of charge while you wait (except in really busy periods in the shop).
Here at Devine Ride we pride ourselves on performing quality and value for money Ski|Snowboard Servicing. We wont suggest unnecessary work that simply isn't required but equally, we won't cut corners when it comes to giving you best possible quality of workmanship and performance.
We perform most of our Servicing in our local workshop which is based 5 minutes away from our main shop. You can be assured, we dont send your Skis or Snowboards to the other end of the country causing stress and worry so if you need them back at the drop of a hat, then you can get hold of them.
The majority of Ski and Snowboarding services are performed using machinery and/or and are hand finished. If you prefer a fully hand serviced option, then please ask. Please bear in mind this can take longer and cost more due the extra labour time involved.
We also sell in our online shop and in the workshop, a large range of quality Ski and Snowboard Servicing Tools so you can “do it yourself”, even if its just a simple wax.
